The creator of TinyUmbrella reminds us to save SHSHs

tinyumbrella shshTinyUmbrella is a program launched a long time ago, it was initially created to allow us to restore to any version of iOS we want, but the Apple company took care to block this system many years ago.

In 2015, the creator of TinyUmbrella announced that restoring to any version of iOS will be possible again, updating the program that allows saving SHSH-s with the idea of giving us in the future the option to restore to various versions of iOS, it being used by millions of people on the planet.

Today, the creator of this program reminds us to save SHSHs for iOS because they will be useful again in the future, he also explains the situations in which we can save SHSHs using his program, without giving details about the restore procedure for now.

He claims that he cannot yet provide details on how we will be able to restore because the person who discovered the exploit did not allow him to do so, so we will have to wait until we find out what exploit is hiding behind the system.

The creator of TinUmbrella tells us that we can save SHSHs under the following conditions:

  • if you have a jailbreak on the terminal, it is recommended to save an SHSH because you will be able to downgrade without problems in the future;
  • if you do not have a jailbreak, but you have installed a version of iOS that can be jailbroken (iOS 8.1.2 being the latest), then you are in the same situation as the one above;
  • if you do not have a jailbreak and you are on a version of iOS that cannot be jailbroken, the recommendation to save SHSH remains, even if it is not known when and how you will be able to use it.

I have already published one SHSH saving tutorial for iPhone and iPad and I recommend you to use it because at some point the SHSHs will become useful again.
