iPod Touch 6G, iPod Nano gold and other iPod models were discovered in iTunes 12.2, the Apple company preparing for the launch a series of new products from a category that was designated by many as being on the verge of extinction.

At the moment there is no information to indicate that new models of the iPod would be prepared by the Apple company, but some models of the iPod Nano are available in limited quantities in Apple Stores, so there is a possibility that an update will be In progress.
Un iPod Touch 6G it could have an A8 chip implemented in the iPhone 6 or an A7 chip from the iPhone 5S, the current iPod Touch 5G having the old A5 chip. UPDATED: It seems that these new colors: dark blue, gold and pink, will be available for all three types of products.
