The release of OS X Yosemite and the impact on tourism

OS X Yosemite park visitorsOS X Yosemite was launched by Apple last year by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and in case you didn't already know this, the operating system is named after a national park in the USA.

Yosemite National Park had registered a decrease of almost 300.000 visitors before ca OS X Yosemite to be released, but it seems that the appearance of the new version of the operating system has increased the interest in visiting the famous American location, and the image above proves this.

Separate from the impact on tourism, OS X Yosemite it also generated a large increase in internet traffic for searches made for this name, but it seems that the owners of hotels in the Yosemite National Park area had nothing to lose either.

Apple's decision to name an operating system after a national park was seen by many as inappropriate, but in the end it also helped the American economy by convincing people to visit a wonderful location on the planet.

This year the Apple company will launch OS X El Capitan, the name being given after a slope of a mountain that is sought after by climbers because it is difficult to climb, so probably many will be interested in visiting it in the next period.
