Facebook News Feed accessible from the application for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android, it has a whole series of functions starting today, users can choose the friends from whom they see priority messages or not.
Company Facebook now list in the Settings section of the Facebook application a new named menu News Feed Preferences(access can be done by opening the application and choosing More > News Feed Preferences), and accessing it will take us to a sub-menu in which we have four large categories of options:
- Prioritize Who to see first - here you will have your list of friends and you will be able to choose the people or Facebook pages from which you will see priority messages in the Facebook News Feed.
- Unfollow people to hide their posts - this option allows you to hide the messages of certain friends or Facebook pages without unfriending them, that person not being notified that you no longer want to see messages from them.
- Reconnect with people you unfollowed - in this section you will have listed all the people you unfollowed in the past and you can now choose to follow them again to see their messages in the News Feed.
- Discover New Pages - In this section you will discover new Facebook pages based on a Facebook algorithm, their choice seems random, but it is definitely based on your interaction with friends or pages in the past.
- More Options - here you will see a series of Facebook applications that display information that have been hidden from the News Feed, with the option to display them again being offered.
Practically, these 5 new options give them much more control over the information we see in the Facebook News Feed in the application for iOS or any other application offered by Facebook for the smartphones or tablets of users around the world.
Facebook News Feed has been modified in many ways in recent years by Facebook and the company doesn't seem to have found the perfect mix of options to show users what they want, so it gives us the opportunity to do it ourselves .
