Android vs. iOS – degree of use in homes in Europe and the USA

Android and iOS useA few weeks ago I told you that Android- is preferred by poor people due to the fact that most people with low incomes buy this type of mobile terminals.

Today I tell you that iPhone si iPadare the favorites of rich people, but we are also talking about a complex study carried out by an American company in several countries around the world to find out the degree of use of iDevices and terminals Android in the homes of all kinds of people.

In the image above, you have presented the report of the study carried out in Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain and the USA by those from Strategy Analytics, and not surprisingly, the last two countries have the highest degree of use of iDevices in homes .

In Germany, Italy and France there are the most people who use Android terminals constantly and very rarely iDevices, and if we include Great Britain, the degree of use of terminals from both platforms exceeds 50%.

Android is most dominant in Germany, where 68% of homes own at least one Android device compared to 23% owning Apple. Apple is stronger than in Germany in both UK and US homes (45% and 44% penetration respectively) but in each case still lags behind Android, which is in 66% of UK and 56% of US homes.

iOS does not exceed Android's usage rate in any of the countries where the study was done, but the closest percentages exist in the USA, although there Google's operating system is undeniably dominant and this will not be change too soon.

Apart from these, the study reveals that 60% of the houses with annual incomes over 100.000 dollars are populated by iOS terminals, but Android terminals are also in over 50% of them, with the Google platform dominating the rest of the income groups.

Having said that, Android is widely used around the world, but this probably won't surprise you.
