A proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Nike, Inc. and Apple Inc. regarding the Nike+ FuelBand. The lawsuit claims that Nike and Apple engaged in violations of consumer protection laws in connection with the Nike+ FuelBand. Under the Settlement, Nike has agreed to provide either a Fifteen Dollar ($15) payment or a Twenty-Five Dollar ($25) gift card redeemable at Nike-owned stores.

Based on this proposal, Nike will either pay $15 to all people who bought Nike+ Fuelband between 2012 and 2015, or they will offer a $25 gift card valid in all their stores in the US and Puerto Rico.

Of course, only the Americans will benefit from this agreement because the process was initiated there, so in other countries around the world it will be necessary to initiate separate processes to receive compensation from Nike since the company has admitted its mistake.
