A Chinese man committed suicide in a factory where iPhone terminals are assembled

Foxconn suicide iPhone factoryThis week an employee of the company Foxconn was found dead next to one of the buildings that form the campus of the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou, where, for several years, iPhone terminals have been assembled for the Apple company.

Those from Foxconn they did not confirm the fact that the employee would have committed suicide, but an NGO that monitors the rights of employees working in factories in China states that that person would have jumped from the roof of the building near which he was found and that it would be a case of suicide.

The respective person worked in the framework Foxconn since October 2010, so we are talking about a 5-year-old employee who decided to end his days for reasons unknown for now, but we will probably never find out what is the real reason for this tragic action.

The authorities in China are investigating the case and those from Foxconn claim that they are currently collaborating with them to discover the reasons that led their former employee to commit suicide, he being only 28 years old according to the information that has appeared so far.

A worker at a Chinese facility that assembles Apple's iPhone was found dead this week at the Foxconn Technology Group's Zhengzhou plant, the company said. Foxconn said the 28-year-old male worker was found outside one of its buildings on the central China campus Tuesday. A New York-based advocacy group, China Labor Watch, reported that the worker jumped from a building to his death in an apparent suicide.

Foxconn and other electronics manufacturers have installed "suicide" nets around the buildings that house employees who work in their factories, but they are not good enough to protect people who decide to end their days .

Last year, Tim Cook visited various factories of the companies that assemble iPhone terminals and came to the conclusion that most of the employees work in good conditions, but this is not true.
