The first Apple Store with a design created by Jony Ive

The first Jony Ive designed Apple StoreAt the beginning of this year Jony Ive became Chief Design Officer within the Apple company, and one of his new responsibilities was to create the design of the future Apple Stores, his first attempt being made with the Apple Store Brussels, which was opened for the press yesterday.

Unlike other Apple Stores of the Apple company, this one has an exterior with very large glass panels that stretch from the ceiling to the sidewalk, they are curved along the entire distance of the facade, Apple placing inside including benches and trees in various areas in the store.

More than that, the Apple company also reduced the number of screens used inside, choosing to place a single very large one to play its advertisements, the presentation tables and product storage spaces also being redesigned.

Jony Ive made many subtle changes that at first sight will not be recognized by visitors, but those who often pass by Apple Stores will notice the small differences compared to the rest of Apple stores, and what you see in the images will become standard in the entire chain of Apple Stores.
