Apple Music has 15 million users

Apple Music 15 million subscribersApple Music has 15 million users after almost three months since the official launch on June 30, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), managing to convince quite a few people to try his online service.

The figure is 4 million higher than the one announced by the Apple company in August, the increase in the number of active users being approximately 35%, quite small if we consider that Apple Music is offered free of charge by the Apple company in over 100 countries.

The figure of 15 million users for Apple Music was predicted by Apple managers for the first three months after the launch, so the entire launch is seen as a success in Cupertino, at least until now, the expectations being still very high for the future.

Although Apple Music has 15 million active users now, Apple managers expect that after the expiration of the initial free period at least 7.5 million users will continue to use the audio streaming service and generate revenue for the Apple company.

Apple Music has garnered some 15 million users in its three short months in business, music industry sources told The Post. If those 7.5 million Apple subscribers stay with the service after the free period, the company will have more than a third of Spotify's 20 million paid subscribers. Spotify launched globally eight years ago and in the US in July 2011.

At the moment, Spotify has the largest number of subscribers of an audio streaming service, 20 million people paying monthly for its services, and if Apple manages to start the payment period with 7.5 million subscribers, the launch can be considered a real success.

Of course, no one knows how many people will remain subscribed to Apple Music since the service is castrated in many countries, including Romania where the iCloud music library cannot be activated, songs cannot be saved for online listening, nor can others be synchronized with iTunes Match, so it will be interesting to see how Apple Music will evolve.
