5G networks and speed in the real world

5G network speed test5G networks they are the future and by 2020 the first ones would become active in various areas around the globe, some telephone operators already initiating testing procedures for 5G mobile networks together with various telecommunication element manufacturers.

Laboratory tests for 5G networks reveals the fact that internet browsing speeds reach 20 Gbps under these conditions, but now we also learn that in the real world 5G internet browsing speeds reach 3.6 Gbps, that is, approximately 24 times more than 4G speeds.

Those from NTT DoCoMo together with Huawei have tested a 5G network in Japan to obtain this result, and the special part of this network is that it works on bands lower than 6 GHz, so it does not require rebuilding the infrastructure for 5G support to be offered.

Samsung and Nokia are also testing telecommunications equipment for 5G networks, but in their case we are talking about frequencies that require an improvement of the existing infrastructure, so much larger investments than the mobile operators would like.

As the first in the world to succeed with such a large multi-user environment test, this is an important milestone. This is very encouraging as the industry works to commercialize 5G by 2020. Both Huawei and DOCOMO teams have made tremendous efforts. I look forward to even more impressive results when we move to the next phase of the field trial in Japan.

Although NTT DoCoMo and Huawei are now testing 5G equipment in Japan, the network itself would only be launched in 2020, i.e. at the same time when several other mobile operators intend to offer similar 5G networks for customers.

Considering that in various areas of the globe, including Europe, it is estimated that 5G networks would be launched around 2020, we can draw the conclusion that Romania would have a similar launch.
