Facebook competes with YouTube

Facebook video feedFacebook competes with YouTube, more timid in the past, but seriously starting from the following months, the company that owns the largest social network planning to create a special feed for video clips in its application for mobile terminals.

In the image above you can see how it will display Facebook only video clips in a dedicated feed similar to the one visible at the moment with posts of your friends or of the pages we follow, everything being in a way similar to that offered by the YouTube company.

In the image below you can see what the new version of the application will look like Facebook which contains this special feed for video clips, it being represented by an icon displayed in the lower part of the application, it will replace the one that connects to Facebook Messenger.

Apart from these, the Facebook company now displays recommended videos together with the existing ones in the feed, so you can quickly discover videos published by other people, ads to be displayed among them soon by Facebook.

Moreover, those from Facebook will also launch a new way to see videos, so that they will be visible in a floating window in a way similar to that offered by the YouTube application, so you will be able to see a video clip while accessing other content.

In the video clip above, you can see some of the changes Facebook has already made for users around the world and some of the ones to come, the company intending to seriously attack YouTube for people's attention.

How successful Facebook will be in competing with YouTube without forcing users to watch unwanted videos remains to be seen, but at the moment most of the "success" is due to forcing users to watch these videos in the news feed.
