iPhone 6S – strong pre-orders in South Korea

iPhone 6S pre-orders ChinaiPhone 6S si 6S iPhone Plus registered a large number of pre-orders in South Korea during this day, the main mobile operators being surprised by the attention that the two smartphones received from local customers.

The operator KT from South Korea registered 10.000 pre-orders for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in the first minute after their opening, after 10 minutes closing the process with 50.000 pre-ordered units, the figure being amazing for a smartphone launch.

SK Telekom needed 30 minutes to sell the entire stock of pre-orders for iPhone 6S si 6S iPhone Plus in South Korea without giving details about the number of units it received, analysts estimating that it would still be about 50.000 units.

LG Uplus is the third major local operator that has put the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on sale in South Korea, but no figures have come from them regarding the sales of the two terminals, but it is probably still about a few dozen thousands of units sold.

KT said preorders surpassed 10,000 within the first one minute after it opened the online site, and it closed the applications less than 10 minutes later as the first 50,000 units set aside for preorders were all sold out. SK Telecom also ended its online preorder applications after 30 minutes.

At least one of the 3 operators opened a second pre-order session for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in South Korea after the end of the premeia, but no one has statistics on the total sales recorded today for the two smartphones.

If the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will attract over 200.000 pre-orders in South Korea at the three major operators by next Monday, when it will be known what the sales of the first weekend were, then we are talking about a real success for the Apple company.

  1. @Zaone: Don't you think that this year Apple has offered far too little and is asking too much for the IPhone + IMac chapter? how could I complain directly on a company forum, or an email, if you know please tell me. When steve jobs was alive there were no such problems. Apple misses him, Cook focuses only on profit and not as much on quality, when steve jobs was alive you didn't have such big problems with IOS and Apple innovates more. Cook is good at bringing money to the company, but they all have a limit and they won't be able to come up with just one important feature per year, they need more, they haven't even implemented a 6-element camera in the IPhone 6s, I don't understand why Apple didn't also adhere to wireless charging, the water resistance that many of us were waiting for, an OLED screen with a higher resolution (I know I'm asking a lot), but still I can't understand how Apple can destroy a the phone market with only 2 phones a year, which you can't say always come with something WOW. I have the IPhone 6S Plus I am extremely happy with it (except for a few issues with the IOS) but I still miss the features listed above, at least the 6-element camera (even if the 6-element camera is not a feature) and the OLED screen with better resolution. Apple would need a feedback like we find on Windows to help more in solving the problems, the systems. Now I don't wonder why analysts called for Cook to be replaced….

  2. you have no way of knowing what it was like if steve was still alive... the first iphone and ipad was one of a kind, now you have so many competitors in the view of some. I see only partial competition, it is not like on the Android platform where there are many, there are competitions on the same OS and hardware and on the mobile industry side, on iOS there are no competitions except on the mobile industry side
We don't know what Steve would have done and I don't know if it makes sense to say that it would have been better or worse because it is impossible to find out. Does God exist or not? almost the same answer

  3. sad but true... you sell your lung to buy an iphone 6s, but when the iphone 7 appears what do you do? you can only live with one.. The situation was different if you sold your organ for a lifetime contract as you get the last model every year

  4. Oled yes, we've been waiting for a lot of people, it has reached maturity. Wireless charging is bullshit at the moment, we all know that.. like sitting with the cable or sitting with it on a pad, all that... Apple will make it wireless when it will charge your phone on an area/room as there is wifi and in that area you can charge your phone wherever you put it

  5. "Samsung and LG notably dropped prices on their flagship devices ahead of Apple's planned launch of the iPhone 6s this month in South Korea"

How much power can Apple have in this world... already the products themselves are no longer important but the brand as power... I wonder if Apple has ever lowered the price to something because of the competition in the US?! I'm glad I'm not young anymore and I don't see the time when a company like this will rule the world in an unpleasant way

  6. All innovations are "momentary bullshit" until Apple "borrows" them after a few years following the competition. After appearing in the Apple product portfolio, these innovations are "waw!", "like magic", "super fast, extremely fast", etc.

  7. Yes, you are somehow right... the iPhone was not an invention but a reinvention of the smartphone, the fingerprint reader exists, but how does it work and how is it thought in Apple and how was it on the market 10 years ago? as well as ipad etc... yes there are ideas but they are perfected by apple later

  8. Oled was carried by Samsung from the very beginning and perfected, and probably Apple will also take the Oled technology from Samsung for iPhone 7, I hope and not from LG

  9. And then doesn't Samsung deserve everyone's respect for investing billions in this technology called OLED?
Apple didn't put in OLED not because the technology was new, but because it was expensive. Why spend 80 dollars on an OLED screen, when you can spend 40 dollars on an LCD? Don't get attached to numbers, they are unimportant, the idea is what matters.

At the time of Steve Jobs, product quality came first, customer satisfaction was the first concern. Since this accountant Cock came, it is more important for Apple to make money.

  10. Rest assured that when Apple implements OLED screens, they will do so under a well-chosen name so that it seems they have reinvented the technology.
Let's not forget the fact that they will present it as something new that they have been working on for years.
And after the presentation, forums and blogs will explode and thus Apple will once again reinvent hot water.
After 5 years since the appearance of the "retina" display, there are still some who believe the donut with the perfection achieved by the 326 ppi :))

Let's say that wireless charging is bullshit at the moment, 3D Touch technology is revolutionary, after 1 month from the presentation there are tweaks in Cydia that offer you the same experience, but still, it's a perfect magical and super cool function with mega super huge potential.

And fast charging is bullshit, everyone who longs for such a function swallow hard and say that it ruins the battery. The highlight, in the article with the new mouse from Apple that has a fast charging function, no one has commented that it ruins the battery :))

Let them swallow dry and lie to themselves, let them keep repeating "maybe la anu" :))

It's good what Apple offers them, yesterday's technology at tomorrow's price.
