An Apple employee stole $1 million worth of iTunes Gift Cards

Apple Store stealing gift cardsAn employee of the Apple company was arrested by the American authorities because he used recoded credit and debit cards to buy iTunes Gift Cards worth 1 million dollars from the Apple company.

The employee worked in the Queens Center Mall in New York, he joined Apple employees in 2013 and took advantage of the position he had to obtain improper income by stealing money from the credit or debit cards of various Apple customers.

The employee who stole the iTunes Gift Cards then resold them to a third party at much lower prices than the ones he bought them for, and that's how he collected 1 million dollars from his crimes, the police are now investigating him, he is going to end up most likely in prison.

The man received 10% of the value of iTunes Gift Cards of very high value, i.e. 200 dollars from a gift card of 2000 dollars, at the time of detention he had 7 such gift cards and 51 Visa credit cards. or American Express recoded for purchases.

For now, no one knows where the employee obtained the data used to recode the credit cards, but Apple began investigating the problem in October after receiving many requests to cancel purchases for gift cards.
