The evolution of Apple products for everyone to understand

Horace Dediu is one of the most famous analysts on the planet at the moment, he specializes in mobile terminals and PCs, and if the last name suggests something, then I will also tell you that he was born in Romania, but grew up in the USA.

With Romanian descent and a very good appreciation of the evolution of the biggest companies on the planet, Horace Dediu presents in the video clip below the evolution of the "computer", starting from Apple's MacBook and reaching the tablet iPad Pro.

In the clip, he shows how the Apple company tried to replace the PC over time starting from the iPad tablet, reaching the iPhone, again the Mac and finally the iPad Pro, the confusing evolution being also given by the fact that Apple still hasn't found the perfect product to replace the PC, despite what Tim Cook thinks.

  1. Honestly, if in iOS10 I make a file manager through iCloud drive and with multiple accounts, and the applications are becoming more and more specific for ipad pro, many people might give up the PC in the next 2-3 years. It depends on what iOS10 offers for ipad pro

  2. I have an iPhone 5s taken from Telekom, it is under warranty, it no longer works, and the problem is that three months have passed and I received it in the same condition, can someone help me with an advice?!

  3. Serb, there are dozens of file managers on Android that are able to do everything that Windows Explorer does. And guess what: Android tablets have not replaced PCs. So it's not the file managers that are the problem.
Here is an example with Astro File Manager:

And peripherals are not a problem either, you can attach with a USB hub: mouse, keyboard, memory cards and external hard drives. All at once.
    So... keep looking.

  4. Well, Android doesn't have the marketing power of Apple, at least so far
It's like saying that the surface pro can't replace a mini laptop, which is not true if you rely on sales
What I want to say is that the current generations who were already born with iOS or Windows Mobile do not have deep roots in what was PC in the 90s
In the end, it's about what and how many applications there will be for ipad pro

  5. Here I agree (rarely but it still happens) to @srb, Apple's marketing has the power to change user preferences and laptops will lose ground over time.
