Apple Maps, the online map system developed by the Apple company, was recently updated by those from Cupertino, they now have a new partner that provides information for displaying points of interest on maps.
More specifically, foursquare was chosen by Apple to complete the data set with businesses available in Apple Maps, the Apple company now displaying several points of interest of this kind in all locations around the globe.
Those at Forsquare have an extremely complex database with all kinds of places, including user reviews, so we are finally talking about a beneficial change that the Apple company is making for its Apple Maps.
Forsquare has been an Apple Maps partner since October 22, 2015 and we are talking about a Yelp competitor, but both services now offer information for Apple Maps, so theoretically we should have the best data available for the maps accessed.
The change is of course visible even in Romania, where Apple Maps displays many more points of interest than in the past, the service starting to become more and more useful.
