Samsung will supply OLED screens for the iPhone

Samsung OLED iPhone screenSamsung to provide OLED screens for iPhone, the current partner of the Apple company going to extend its contractual obligations to OLED screens, not just to IPS ones or to the manufacture of a variety of other components.

This evolution would take place in 2018 when Apple should launch iPhone 8, then Samsung will become one of the suppliers of OLED screens for the iPhone on which the Apple company will rely in order to manufacture the devices that will be launched on the market.

The information regarding the intentions of Samsung and Apple comes from one of the managers of the Korean company, who stated that both companies have restarted discussions regarding the use of OLED screens in the terminals iPhone released in the future, Apple using this type of screens in the Apple Watch now.

Considering that the discussions are just at the beginning, no one can say whether or not Apple will make the transition to OLED screens starting with the iPhone 8, but those in South Korea are quite convinced that they can convince those in Cupertino to use this type of technology.

Samsung Display has recently renewed talks with Apple to supply its small-sized OLED displays for the next iPhones to be released in a few years, which I believe is around 2018. Samsung Display needs to have a long-term contract with new and trustworthy major customers for OLED displays. But the Chinese won't replace Apple's brand image..

In recent years, Apple has avoided implementing OLED screens in its iPhone terminals because of the shortcomings that this type of screens would have, but by 2018 the technology could evolve enough to be to their liking in terms of implementation.

Having said that, the iPhone 8 would come with a screen that has a new technology for Apple smartphones, but we still have to wait until everything should come true.
