Apple has chosen the exclusive manufacturer of the A10 chip

Apple A10 chipiPhone 7 will be launched in 2016 by the Apple company, and inside it we would find a A10 chip much more efficient than the A9 chip used in the current iPhone 6S, and it will be produced by only one company.

According to some analysts with information from sources close to Apple, those from Cupertino would be ready to give the Taiwanese from TSMC the total production of A10 chips for the future iPhone 7, apparently giving up completely on the Koreans from Samsung.

Year the chipgate scandal questioned Apple's decision to contract Samsung as a manufacturer of A9 chips for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the performance of its components being inferior to those created by TSMC.

In order not to be put in the same embarrassing situation next year, the Apple company seems willing to collaborate exclusively with TSMC for the production of the A10 chip, the Taiwanese having the full capacity to produce as many components as Apple needs .

HSBC changed its mind today, raising TSMC from Neutral to Buy, saying that the chip foundry will regain 100% market share of Apple's A10 production in 2016. Its potential deal with Apple on InFO packaging will likely bring over $300 million in sales in 2016 and reach $1 billion in 2017. As a result, the bank revised up its price target from 148 new Taiwan dollars to NT$165.

Even if now we are only talking about rumors regarding the production of the A10 chip, what happened this fall proved to us that Samsung has manufacturing processes inferior to those of TSMC, and Apple is always looking for only the best manufacturers.

For the iPhone 7 and the A10 chip, those from TSMC would use an InFO manufacturing process for the processor and adjacent components, and this change would bring us much better performance and autonomy.
