Apple will launch an iPhone with an OLED screen

iPhone OLED screenApple will launch an iPhone with an OLED screen, and if the rumors that have appeared so far have not yet convinced you about the plans of those from Cupertino, well today a new Asian publication comes to support everything that has been said so far about this mythical Apple terminal.

According to a publication from Japan, the partner Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, Japan Display, is going to start mass production of OLED screens for iPhone 8 in the summer of 2018, as told by a rumor that appeared just three weeks ago, also from an Asian publication.

The management of Japan Display is currently in negotiations with Apple for the manufacture of OLED screens for iPhone 8 and future models of the terminals from Cupertino, Samsung and LG Display also being interested in being part of Apple's plans.

Although for 8 years Apple has been using LCD IPS screens in its iPhone terminals, in 2018 things are going to change, those from Cupertino being prepared to make the transition to OLED technology, it being already used in Apple Watch- launched on the market in April.

Although Apple probably wants to launch an iPhone with an OLED screen for some time, it seems that for now this technology is not good enough for its standards, but the improvements planned for it should make the implementation possible in the iPhone 8.

We already know that OLED screens reproduce colors better, consume less energy and display clearer images than LCD screens, and those from Apple seem convinced that a dramatic change in the way iPhones render images is imperatively necessary.

Even if 2018 will not be the year when we will have an iPhone with an OLED screen, I am firmly convinced that Apple will have the courage to launch such a device sooner or later, and I don't think its appearance can be postponed for more than 2-3 years compared to the now rumored date.
