Dropbox announces the closure of some services

Dropbox announces the closure of some servicesdropbox announced during this day the closure of services Mailbox si Carousel starting with February 26 of next year, so in a few months, during which users will be able to look for alternatives for applications.

Both the Mailbox application and the Carousel application have not been updated with important changes for some time, the Dropbox company still saying that the closure is related to an improvement in collaboration between its employees and not to a decrease in the number of users.

As we told you before, on February 26, 2016, the two applications will become non-functional, so the user data will be deleted from the Dropbox servers, but they will still remain valid in the various services to which they were interconnected.

Mailbox was a popular application in 2013 when Dropbox bought the company that developed it, but Carousel never enjoyed much popularity, both applications offering functions that a multitude of applications already offer for some time.

Building new products is about learning as much as it is about making. It's also about tough choices. Over the past few months, we've increased our team's focus on collaboration and simplifying the way people work together. In light of that, we've made the difficult decision to shut down Carousel and Mailbox.

Having said that, if you use one of the two applications, or both, it would be good to find alternatives by February 26.
