Microsoft Cortana has been launched in the App Store

Microsoft Cortana iOSMicrosoft Cortana was launched in the App Store just a few weeks after the first beta version of the application was made available to users around the world, the application still offers limited functionality for now.

Considering that we are talking about a simple application for iOS launched by the Microsoft company, Cortana is able to perform various searches on the Internet, to interconnect with a computer running Windows 10, and to control it.

Using Cortana, users can create reminders, make various appointments for meetings, send emails, open applications or make various searches on the Internet, but you will not be able to control iOS settings, or functions of native or third-party applications from terminals.

Basically, the Cortana application is offered for Microsoft to demonstrate to iOS users what its system is capable of, but we are not talking about something truly extraordinary available to us for now, as it was to be expected, by the way.

Cortana is your truly personal assistant—helping you get things done by letting your PC and iPhone work together. Your schedule, your interests, your people, your reminders—Cortana makes sure all that stuff is available wherever you need it. Set a reminder to pick up milk on the way home while you're on your PC at work, and Cortana will give you the heads up on your iPhone when you're on the road. Ask Cortana to make an appointment, send an email, open an app, or help you find what you're looking for. And it's not only about productivity, Cortana's always up for a little chit chat. Ask Cortana whatever comes to mind, her answers might surprise you.

The Cortana app is for now disposable for download only in the USA and China, and various other countries will have it available in the App Store in the not too distant future.
