Telekom accused of blocking a Vodafone promotional number

Vodafone Black Friday 2015 discountsThrough an unusual move for Romania, the mobile operator Vodafone accuse the group Telekom Romania by the fact that it blocks users' access to a phone number promotional dedicated to the campaign Free at Cardela! You get internet and phone.

In the campaign Free at Cardela! You get internet and phone, customers with Vodafone prepaid cards can receive free data traffic when they initiate calls in the Vodafone network or to other national communication networks, all within the limit of 10 GB per month.

In this campaign, those from Vodafone are using the number 0722.10.10.10 which Telekom would have blocked, according to Vodafone representatives, so that users Telekom I can't call him anymore, so I can't get free cards to try Vodafone's offer.

"Vodafone Romania informs users of mobile telephony services that the number 0722.10.10.10, used in the current communication campaign "Free on the card! You get internet and phone" for the Vodafone Card, was restricted by Telekom Romania. In order to benefit from Net and credit for a free phone from Vodafone, we invite Telekom Romania users who have not yet signed up for the promotion to do so using the online channel - www.vodafone.ro"

This is the first time that a Romanian mobile phone operator publicly accuses a competing operator of blocking a phone number used in a campaign to attract customers, and it will be interesting to see what answer Telekom will offer.

Mobile operators usually do not engage in actions of this kind and I honestly believe that it is improbable that Telekom intentionally blocked the number, but if it did, then we are most likely talking about a large number of customers who left in the last period and a fear of losing others.
