Tim Cook pokes fun at Google's Chromebook

Tim Cook Google ChromebookIERI (Yesterday) Tim Cook attended one of the sessions Hour of Code organized in Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), Stores by the Apple company, the initiative having the role of helping children learn how to write code in various programming languages.

During the event, Tim Cook wanted to make a rather interesting remark about the company's Chromebooks Google, he claims that these products are actually test machines and do not in any real way help the students in the American schools where these products are offered.

Those from Google have seriously competed with Apple in the educational segment, bringing Chromebooks to schools at the expense of MacBook Airs, and Tim Cook is certainly trying to prove that Apple products are much better for children.

The reality is that a MacBook Air with OS X offers a much more complex functionality than a Chromebook running Chrome OS, but of course the different selling price between the two products and the possible discounts offered by Google make the difference.

I'm not a fan of teaching to the test. I think creativity is so important. Training the mind how to think is so important. Teaching to the test, to me, is too much about memorization. In a word where you've got all the information you've got right here.

In the same idea, Tim Cook claims that schools should have special courses in their curriculum that teach children how to write code in various programming languages, Apple lobbying American institutions for the initiation of such permanent programs.
