Apple blocks repairs for a number of products

Apple product repairsCompany Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has recently included new products on the list of those that no longer benefit from support for repairs in its authorized centers, and here we are talking about electronic devices that were launched at least 6-7 years ago by those from Cupertino.

Some of these products benefited from repairs in the USA and Turkey based on the legislation that obliged Apple to repair them, but in the rest of the countries around the world they no longer benefited from repairs in the specialized centers of the Apple company, and today's change completely removes them from the cycle of repairs.

The products that no longer benefit from repairs from Apple starting today are:

  • iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009)
  • iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)
  • MacBook Air (Mid 2009)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2009)
  • Time Capsule 802.11n (2nd generation)

Basically we are talking about Macs launched in 2009 and an old generation Time Capsule, they are added to a very long list that already includes all the products launched by the Apple company before 2008 on global markets.

Based on this decision, Apple stores or authorized services should no longer repair these products because parts for them are no longer produced, so if you have one and it has problems, you will have to look for replacements for old products.
