Acer Aspire V Nitro Black EditionSeparated from Acer H7 with USB-C connector, Acer brought to CES 2016 and new laptops that offer users the opportunity to record objects in the real world in 3D format, but also to transfer data via Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps.

Acer TravelMate P648

We now move on to Acer TravelMate P648, this being the first laptop in which the technology was implemented Wi-Fi 802.11ad, popularly known as WiGig, offering the possibility to transfer data at speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps between electronic devices.

To offer these benefits, Acer TravelMate P648 uses Qualcomm Atheros chips that support three frequencies, namely 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 60 GHz, the latter allowing the transfer of data at such high speeds between electronic devices.

The problem with the Wi-Fi 802.11ad standard is that the range is very small, so the entire communication is limited to the devices in the same room, that is if you have a router compatible with it, but implementing it in a laptop is a first step towards the increase in popularity of technology.
