Apple is the only PC manufacturer with increasing sales in Q4 2015

Mac sales were on the rise in Q4 2015, with Apple being the only PC manufacturer with sales growth in the last three months of the year, with most direct competitors seeing significant declines in units shipped to customers around the world.

Apple sales Mac vs PCApple is the only PC manufacturer whose sales were increasing during Q4 2015, the surprising situation putting the American company in a very good position on the market of computer manufacturers.

According to the estimates regarding PC sales for Q4 2015, the Apple company would have sold 5.6 million Macs in this period, reaching for the first time in the top 5 PC sales globally, its sales increasing by 2.8% compared to of Q4 2014.

Those from Lenovo, Dell, ASUS or Acer cannot enjoy the same thing, their sales in Q4 2015 compared to T4 2014 falling between 3.2% and 11.2%, the most affected being those from Acer, the company occupying the last position in the top 5 sellers of PCs.

Apple sold almost 3 times less PCs than Lenovo, but more than Acer, and that says a lot about the popularity of its products in a market that has been in constant decline for several years now, without any solution to recover sales.

sales of PCs Q4 2015

Half of the total sales of Macs were registered in the US, but there those from Lenovo had a 21.1% increase in sales in Q4 2015 compared to Q4 2014, ASUS also having a 0.1% increase in sales, although at the global level their sales have decreased.

In total, in Q4 2015 8.3% fewer PCs were sold than in Q4 2014, the figure being equivalent to 6.8 million units, and this in the conditions in which we are talking about the Black Friday period followed by the winter holidays when people buy a lot of gifts.

Although Macs have very high sales prices compared to other PCs, if we ignore the ultrabook segment, the Apple company still manages to surpass its competitors in sales and this trend will probably not stop soon.
