Google Play finally accepts promotional codes

More than 6 years after its appearance, Google Play finally has the option to accept promotional codes for downloading paid applications sold by various developers through or worldwide.

Although the App Store has been offering this function for years and years, Google has only now managed to offer application developers the opportunity to generate promotional codes that allow the free download of paid applications and games.

Those from Google also impose some limitations for the promotional codes that developers can generate for the applications available in Google Play, but in general we are talking about the same system that the Apple company offers for its developers all over the world.

The developers of applications for the Android platform will have the opportunity to generate 500 codes for each application in each fiscal quarter, so 2000 codes annually, the Apple company offering until recently only 100 codes for each update of an application.

Having said that, Google has finally caught up with Apple from one point of view, because Google Play has long been ahead of Google Play in terms of downloads.
