WhatsApp Messenger will be free for everyone

WhatsApp Messenger will be offered for free users from all over the world, the Facebook company taking the decision that its text messaging application will no longer charge any annual fee from users, until now they were obliged to pay 1 euro annually, at least in theory.

I don't remember ever paying for it WhatsApp Messenger subscription, although I installed the application after it became free, users benefiting from 1 year of free after installation, its use being charged with 1 euro annually after that.

WhatsApp Messenger was the only major messaging application that charged, in theory, an annual subscription for use, the rest of the competing applications being offered completely free, so this change should not surprise anyone.

Now if you ask how Facebook will make money from WhatsApp Messenger, well, the American company will ask companies for money to be able to contact users of the network, so we will not see traditional ads, but we will be able to receive messages from airlines, money, etc. .

Naturally, people might wonder how we plan to keep WhatsApp running without subscription fees and if today's announcement means we're introducing third-party ads. The answer is no. Starting this year, we will test tools that allow you to use WhatsApp to communicate with businesses and organizations that you want to hear from. That could mean communicating with your bank about whether a recent transaction was fraudulent, or with an airline about a delayed flight. We all get these messages elsewhere today – through text messages and phone calls – so we want to test new tools to make this easier to do on WhatsApp, while still giving you an experience without third-party ads and spam.

With over 900 million users annually, the WhatsApp Messenger application is the basis of the largest messaging network on the planet, and this change calls into question the use of data associated with users who use it.

Many people fear that Facebook sells the data recorded through WhatsApp Messenger to various companies and this could be perfectly true, but from now on you can enjoy a free WhatsApp Messenger.
