Apple bans the sale of some Samsung products

Apple bans the sale of Samsung productsApple managed to obtain a sales ban for certain Samsung products in the USA, those from Cupertino convincing an American court to approve their requests and issue a decision preventing the distribution of certain terminals in the country.

All the terminals discussed are old and were no longer interesting for the general public, most of them no longer sold by the Samsung company anyway, so we are talking about a victory without much meaning for those from Cupertino.

terminals Samsung Admire, Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Galaxy S3 and Stratosphere have been banned for sale in the US as of now, the models being offered to users for more than 3 years, so we're not talking about major devices.

Today's ban is based on a victory of Apple dating back to 2014, when those from Cupertino were also awarded the sum of 119 million dollars for the violations committed by the Samsung company, but it seems that in the end the Koreans care too little about the decision.

The court finds that Apple will suffer irreparable harm if Samsung continues to use its use of the infringing features, that monetary damages cannot adequately compensate Apple for this resulting irreparable harm, and that the balance of equities and public interest favor entry of a permanent injunction.

Those from Samsung were offered the opportunity to remove from the terminals the functions and designs that violated Apple's intellectual property, but they ignored this possibility, instead preferring to stop selling certain devices that no longer generated money anyway.

That said, Apple didn't gain much from the decision of the past few days, but this won't stop it from waging legal battles with Samsung in the future to protect its intellectual property.

  1. De ce cred eu ca aceste procese au mai multă legătura cu repatrierea de profituri decat cu dorința Apple de a bloca anumite produse Samsung?
