NutriRay3D scans the food to tell you the number of calories

NutriRay3DNutriRay3D is an accessory that can be attached to smartphones used in everyday life, its role being to scan the food that is placed in front of us to tell us how many calories are in it before we actually start eating.

The NutriRay3D accessory scans the food using very high precision lasers, estimating the number of calories and nutrients that we are going to get from the food that is placed in front of us.

Apart from calories and nutritional information, NutriRay3D also displays a series of nutritional information for us, so we will know how much good or bad that type of food does for us before actually eating it.

The creators of NutriRay3D claim that over 9000 different types of food are available in the database created together with their product, which creates a 3D map with the scanned food to guess the amount of food that a user is going to eat.

If you're trying to lose weight, there are a lot of cell phone applications out there but you still have to measure or somehow guesstimate how much you're eating. It creates a 3D map based on where the dots align, and then you can put them all together to get the actual volume of the food.

NutriRay3D is currently waiting for funding to be launched on the market and when it is available it will cost around 280 dollars.
