Vodafone Romania demonstrated the fragility of a greedy and vulnerable system

vodafone digi mobile greedyThe other day I told you about the scandal cards blocked by Orange and Telekom because of the calls made in the Vodafone network, some users understanding the unlimited term as such, as a result using the benefits from cards and subscriptions to take advantage of a Vodafone promotion.

I couldn't tell you if Vodafone thought about the campaign from the very beginning You talk, you don't receive as a method of making money on the back of the greed of Orange, Telekom and Digi Mobil, but the final result was a demonstration of the fact that being greedy is not always profitable.

In practice, Vodafone offers free internet and points for the purchase of mobile phones to those who received calls from Orange, Telekom or Digi Mobil, profiting from the interconnection fees paid by the competition, the latter losing up to 10 times more than they did by selling options with unlimited minutes.

Vodafone earns good money from this business because the costs for internet traffic or the points offered to customers based on the minutes spoken are much, much lower than the amount collected from the competition for each minute of interconnection.

Although it took several months for Orange, Telekom and Digi Mobil to start reducing their losses generated by people making unlimited calls to Vodafone, in the end the fragility of the greedy mobile telephony system led to the suspension of cards and subscriptions.

Orange, Telekom and Digi Mobil were very greedy, especially the latter, and tried to increase their customer base with offers that in reality brought little profit, the mirage of unlimited national minutes ultimately generating losses for all in the case of some customers who were attracted by what was put in front of them.

Hiding behind accusations of abuse that were thrown at customers, Orange, Telekom and Digi Mobil they cut heads left and right to limit its losses, but I can only praise Vodafone for the initiative it had with its promotion.

Although from this situation many people inside the mobile phone operators should learn that lying to people with unrealistic offers is not the ideal solution to attract customers, unfortunately the great deception in mobile telephony will continue in the country where the unlimited is actually limited.

Finally, I am very curious if ANCOM will conduct an investigation into this problem and present public results regarding the reality behind the accusations of abuse thrown at customers and the legality of the suspensions made by the operators.

What do you think ?
