Digi Mobil would have been forced by Vodafone to reduce the benefits of national roaming

The mobile phone operator Digi Mobil would have been forced by Vodafone to limit the benefits offered to customers who use their subscriptions in national roaming on Romanian territory, therefore implicitly through the Vodafone network.

For those of you who don't know, in 2014 Digi Mobil and Vodafone concluded a partnership through which the latter obliged to offer the former access to their own national network at a preferential cost, based on legislation adopted in Romania, so Digi Mobil was able to offer customers coverage throughout the country based on this agreement.

Practically any Digi Mobil subscriber can use the Vodafone network for phone calls and internet browsing in a named format national roaming, internet traffic being limited to a certain monthly traffic value, while in the case of phone calls, there were no limits until recently.

Digi Mobil has substantially increased its user base from 2014 until now by selling very cheap subscriptions thanks to the agreement for national roaming concluded with Vodafone, stealing many customers of Orange, Telekom or Vodafone, and this has put pressure on the relationship between RCS & RDS and Vodafone.

Because the large number of customers generates a lot of traffic in the Vodafone network both on the Internet and on the mobile phone side, those from Vodafone would have put pressure on Digi Mobil to limit the benefits of customers in national roaming, something that would have been done.

Unofficially, the understanding would be like all Digi Mobil customers who talk too much in national roaming or make too much traffic through the Vodafone network should be warned that their subscriptions will be suspended, or like they will be charged at the prices charged for calls in other networks or the double cost of internet traffic.

By limiting Digi Mobil customers' access to Vodafone's infrastructure for phone calls and internet, Vodafone frees its network from people who crowd access points with long and constant phone calls, the experience of their own customers being seriously affected because of this.

I have the information regarding this agreement that was imposed on those from Digi Mobil from a telecom source and from the corroboration of some data with user complaints, so take everything as it is and not as something 100% certain, although some of you may have received messages like the one in the image above when you talked too much on the phone while roaming nationally.

Having said that, if Digi Mobil announces that it will limit your phone calls or internet traffic in national roaming, that is, when you are connected to the Vodafone network, then it would be good to know that the decision could be seriously influenced by Vodafone .

What do you think about this problem and to what extent have you been affected by it?
