The unexpected reaction of the authorities when a father tried to punish his daughter

Today I am talking to you about a case that happened in the USA, so you must have a very open mind because we are talking about the country of all possibilities, the country where anything is possible, no matter how stupid or hard to believe it is.

The story begins with a father who in 2013 wanted to punish his daughter because of some inappropriate text messages she had on her iPhone 4, he took her phone and forbade her to use it, the police being called for to solve the problem.

The police accused the man of theft, considering that depriving the child of the phone is basically a crime of theft, even if we are talking here about a simple attempt to educate a child, the child's mother and the man's ex-girlfriend stating that the terminal was her property, she not agreeing with the measure of dispossession.

The city prosecutors started a criminal investigation for the accusation of theft, the man was arrested three months later, he was sent to court for this criminal offence, the process recently ending with a decision favorable to him.

A Dallas County jury found a father not guilty Tuesday of theft for taking away his daughter's cell phone as punishment. Jackson said he took his 12-year-old daughter's cell phone as punishment after finding inappropriate texts in September 2013. A few hours later, officers from the Grand Prairie Police Department showed up at his front door, asking for the iPhone 4 back.

The judge who presided over the case decided that the prosecutor did not present enough evidence to support the accusation of theft and this is perfectly normal because in the end we are talking about a simple act of educating a child that was exaggerated most likely because of the former the man's lover.

In conclusion, if you live in the USA or maybe even a country in northern Europe, be careful how you educate your child because you might wake up in jail overnight just because you forbade him to use his mobile phone.
