"Following the recent recording of unnatural mobile voice traffic, Telekom Romania has implemented a series of measures to ensure access to mobile telephony services for all its customers, at optimal parameters. Among the measures implemented is the identification and restriction of a number of prepaid cards and subscriptions from which extremely high mobile voice traffic was carried out on a daily basis, in particular through the use of call waiting and conference functions, which indicated an artificial use of the services mobile phone.
By unnatural traffic we mean significantly higher traffic, up to 80 times higher in some cases, than the average traffic of customers who benefit from similar offers. Thus, in certain situations, the traffic exceeded 24 hours of calls made in a 24-hour interval, this being possible by using services that allow simultaneous calls, through call waiting and conference functions."
