WhatsApp Messenger - record number of users in 2015

WhatsApp Messenger saw record growth in 2015, text messaging application exceeding 1 billion monthly active users at the end of last year, the information regarding reaching this record of users using the application was published last night.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, made the announcement last night, publishing a post in which he announced that WhatsApp Messenger has over 1 billion monthly active users, the application taking a serious lead over competitors such as Viber, Telegram or Skype.

Facebook bought WhatsApp Messenger almost two years ago of days, and during this period the number of monthly active users doubled, those 19 billion spent by the American company being fully invested, at least until now.

Although WhatsApp Messenger does not officially earn any money but only generates maintenance costs, unofficially those from Facebook take information about users and use it in the advertising system and to sell to various companies data about the owners of iPhones I use the services.

With 1 billion monthly active users, the Facebook company intends to monetize WhatsApp Messenger in the not too distant future, the display of advertisements being the solution, considering that WhatsApp Messenger has become free last month.

Facebook has over 1.5 billion monthly active users, WhatsApp Messenger has over 1 billion monthly active users, Messenger is fast approaching the figure of 1 billion users, so Mark Zuckerberg has nothing but reasons to praise about the services developed by his company.
