iOS 9.2.1 – Pangu discusses jailbreak and a recommendation

The Pangu hacker team, which develops a solution of iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3 jailbreak, published last night an article with information on the existing vulnerabilities in iOS 9.2 si iOS 9.2.1, plus what Apple has fixed through its security teams.

After a long exposure of the existing vulnerabilities, the hackers of the Pangu team emphasize on a major problem left unsolved in iOS 9.2, this putting users in one extremely high danger if they install applications from various unknown sources.

More specifically, people who install pirated apps from unknown sources may find that they can take full control of their iDevices their and they can steal any kind of data or information without them knowing, the problem being solved in iOS 9.2.1 by the Apple company.

iOS 9.2 and earlier versions remain vulnerableBut the hackers of the Pangu team recommend updating to iOS 9.2.1 only for those who do NOT want to jailbreak, the rest having to stay at iOS 9.2 or earlier versions for which there is already a jailbreak available.

It is noteworthy that this loophole in iOS sand box trigger, and therefore in the APP can directly attack the kernel, the kernel code is executed to obtain permission. We recommend that users upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible, and to avoid the installation of unknown origin APP.

The whole article from Pangu is a detailed exposition of vulnerabilities and ways of exploiting them, but the main two things in it are exposed above: pirated applications from unknown sources are dangerous and iOS 9.2.1 is only recommended for those who do NOT want to jailbreak.

This article does not in any way influence the progress made in the development of a jailbreak solution for iOS 9.2, iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3 and I do not think that before the middle of March we will see such software released by some hacking team in China or other geographical area.

Yesterday I told you that iOS 9.2, iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3 jailbreak it is possible, only that the hackers who demonstrated everything do not intend to release their solution.
