For fear of lawsuits, Apple repairs iPhones with error 53

Error 53 could be the basis of a new huge scandal for the Apple company and this because the American company admitted that intentionally blocks iPhone terminals which after displaying this error become practically useless because they cannot be repaired.

Error 53 appears when unauthorized repairs are made to the Home button, implicitly also to the Touch ID fingerprint reader, and the cable that connects the reader to the motherboard breaks or is significantly damaged, the replacement of the reader or other components that connect to the motherboard also generates error 53.

User protection

Apple explained that bug 53 was introduced by them in iOS 9 to prevent the replacement of Touch ID fingerprint readers of iPhones with some counterfeits, the effect being the complete blocking of users' terminals.

This strategy of those from Apple could prove to be harmful because some law firms are trying to gather clients who were left with locked iPhones after the display error 53, he intending to sue Apple in the USA and Great Britain.

We believe that Apple may be intentionally forcing users to use their repair services, which cost much more than most third party repair shops. Where you could get your screen replaced by a neighborhood repair facility for $50-80, Apple charges $129 or more. There is an incentive for Apple to keep end users from finding alternative methods to fix their products.

According to the lawyers, Apple violates American and British legislation by implementing error 53 that blocks iPhones, so they are convinced that the courts will give them justice and users could get their money back for free products or repairs.

Violation of the law, processes and reparations

The strategy of the lawyers seems to be a good one and the Apple company seems to be aware that it could lose the lawsuits and go through another humiliating scandal, so has decided to allow some stores in the US to repair iPhone terminals that are stuck after displaying error 53.

iPhones stuck after displaying error 53 will be repaired even if the parts used for them are not original, but users will have to pay for the repair, the cost being lower than that of purchasing a new terminal.

For now, Apple has not officially announced the availability to repair the terminals blocked due to this error 53, but as the program will be extended in Europe, implicitly Romania, I will let you know.
