APTTimeout – a very useful tweak for Cydia

APTTimeout is a tweak available since last night in Cydia for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches jailbroken on iOS 9, it offers the possibility to set the time that must pass from the initiation of a check for a repo and until it is stopped if that repo does not respond to the query.

If you have Cydia a repo that no longer works, then when you start a query to find out what's new, you could even wait a few tens of seconds, the time increasing to a few minutes if you have several repos with problems.

APTTimeout solve this problem, allowing you to set the period of time that must pass from the query to the termination of the operation, timeout, through a settings menu available in the Settings application, a value of 10-15 seconds being sufficient.

Set custom timeout on Cydia repositories. Broken repositories make Cydia seem really slow when updating. APTTimeout gives you an entry in Settings so that you can configure a custom timeout – reducing delays from minutes into seconds.

APTTimeout is available for download from Cydia's BigBoss repo following this link.
