Apple is fighting ISIS in collaboration with the US government

Although on the one hand the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is fighting with the US government to ensure the security of iOS and its iDevices, those from Cupertino are collaborating with the US government to fight against ISIS propaganda in the various social networks in which the terrorist organization is active.

Representatives of Apple, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, MTV or Buzzfeed were present yesterday at a meeting with American government officials who work in the national security apparatus, the discussions being based on methods by which ISIS propaganda can be blocked on social networks.

Apart from these companies, representatives of 44 other American companies participated in discussions that included methods that could be used to block the encouragement that promotes the commission of terrorist acts in various areas around the globe.

The participation of the Apple company in such discussions and the offering of help to the American government is a proof of the fact that those from Cupertino do not support terrorism and these actions could ultimately help the Apple company in the fight with those from the FBI to protect iOS.

At a meeting conducted at the Justice Department on Wednesday, executives from Apple, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, MTV and Buzzfeed offered their input to top counter intelligence officials, according to an industry source familiar with the meeting. Rasmussen told the group the administration is making strides in combating ISIS on social media, where the terrorist army has inspired potential lone wolf assailants to carry out attacks.

The US government has asked a large number of companies to support its fight against ISIS propaganda, and most of those asked if they are ready to offer their help will do so, and Apple could get what it wants in the fight against the FBI.
