Apple Pay will be launched in France in 2016

Apple Pay is to be launched in France during this year, the Apple company intending to expand the availability of its mobile payment service beyond the borders of Great Britain, the only country on the European continent where the system is currently offered.

For now, it is not known for sure when Apple Pay will be launched in France in the course of 2016, but it is known that the launch could take between 3-5 months due to the difficulties that the Apple company has with the organization of partners that will allow it to register payment.

The negotiations between Apple and the banks that are going to support Apple Pay are progressing very slowly because of the commission that the banks receive for each payment made through the Apple system, which is halved compared to the standard one paid to banks by other partners.

Apple wants banks to charge a fee of only 5 cents instead of 9 cents for each payment made through Apple Pay, and the banks do not agree with this idea, at least for now, but Apple will eventually convince them how many customers can bring them Apple Pay.

Apart from France, no one knows when Apple Pay will be extended to Germany, Spain, Italy or other important countries in Europe, but probably new countries will only be added during 2017 due to the very difficult negotiations with the banks
