Half of Romanians press the smartphone button when they are in the company of other people

Smartphones, smart devices in general, completely change the way we communicate, have fun and work. How many times have you noticed when you went out in the city, like at your table or your neighbor's, people didn't talk to each other, being too busy to stay on social media?

A study carried out by iVox shows that one out of two Romanians declares that he is connected to his mobile phone, tablet or laptop when he is in the company of other people.

This study was conducted on a sample of almost 1700 respondents, closely following the impact of online communication on offline conversations. For 40% of the test participants, daily activities largely depend on the use of mobile devices. The study also highlighted the fact that 9 out of 10 Romanians think that nowadays people have face-to-face conversations much less than 10 years ago.

There are around 7,5 million smartphones in Romania, which means that at least three million Romanians are connected to technology between two and six hours a day!
