A Chinese man sold his child to buy an iPhone and a motorcycle

Although it seems very hard to believe, a 19-year-old Chinese man sold his newborn baby to buy an iPhone and a motorcycle, and if in the past only organs were soldWell, now the madness crosses new limits with the sale of human beings to buy various objects.

The young Chinese only got almost 3500 dollars per child and the money seems to have been enough for an iPhone and a not too complicated motorcycle, but because of his remorse he turned himself in to the police to whom he explained the situation and admitted that he had committed a crime.

The buyer of the child claims that he was going to reach his sister, the child's mother also being found by the police, the latter admitting that most of the locals in the city where he lives sell their children because they do not have enough money to raise them.

The even weirder part of the whole story is that both parents of the sold child claimed that they didn't know that they were actually committing a crime, but if we're talking about something that happens regularly in a city, it's pretty easy to understand what was this thought.

"A Duan," (pronounced 'ah dwahn') as he is identified in news reports, sold his 18-day-old daughter to a stranger one year ago, receiving 23,000 yuan (about $3,520) after bargaining, according to the Xiamen Daily News on March 1. The events took place in the city of Tong'an, in the eastern coastal province of Fujian.

Given the circumstances that led to the commission of the crime, a Chinese judge sentenced the father to a prison sentence of 3 years, while the mother received a suspended sentence of 2 and a half years, and this incident will probably convince some people to think twice before selling a child.
