This is why iPhones will never have a long battery life

Battery life is one of the main problems reported by users iPhone or by smartphone users in general and unfortunately it will not be solved soon, at least according to a famous scientific researcher from the USA.

During a recent conference, she discussed battery technologies for mobile terminals and more, and one of the people in the audience wanted to know if it is possible for iPhones to ever have much better autonomy than they currently have. .

According to this researcher, iPhones and other smartphones in general will never have extremely high autonomy because of the way they were thought, being made to offer a variety of functions and features for users.

More precisely, even if battery technologies advance and chips consume less energy, smartphone manufacturers implement more and more functions, so in the end the increase in energy is insignificant due to the newly implemented functions that consume energy.

Smartphone manufacturers think of their mobile terminals to work for a day, every day, and this mentality will not change soon, so in vain we ask for substantially better autonomy for the iPhone because it will not come.

I love this question. First of all, I am not addressing any particular cell phone company or model – all answers are general trends. The answer may be never - as the definition of "heavy daily use" means many things. With every improvement in the battery, the cell phone company wants to add more features (and so do you – consumer demand drives more features). Bigger screen, brighter display, more apps, touch screen features, etc. All those great features are designed to work so that your phone can (hopefully) last a day with overnight recharge. The batteries will continue to get better, but the phone will continue to [sic] get even better. Your current cell phone battery can last several days if you don't use many of the features. On the other hand, if you really do have "heavy use," it would be difficult for any phone to guarantee several days of charge.
