The FBI refuses to divulge the iPhone unlocking method

In the morning I told you that The FBI officially confirmed that it managed to unlock an iPhone 5C terminal used by a terrorist in an armed attack that took place last year, the lawsuit filed to compel Apple to help it in this procedure will be withdrawn.

A week ago, the FBI announced that it would collaborate with an Israeli company to unlock that iPhone again Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), he stated that he would like to know the method used by the entities, if it will be successful, but those from the FBI announced that they will not divulge the technical details.

The decision is not a new one, but is part of the American government's policy of not disclosing vulnerabilities used to access various computer systems on its own, dating back to 2014, so Apple will not really have a way to force the government to say how did the unlocking.

Even if the FBI will not divulge details about the method used, the American journalists claim that it applies only to that iPhone 5C for which there is no Touch ID, as the newer terminals are not as easy to break using the same technique implemented for the FBI.

It was also expected that the FBI would refuse to provide clear details to Apple regarding the method it will use to unlock the iPhone or iPhones it has in its possession, but given that the FBI is receiving help from a company that is Apple's partner, anything can happen without the government knowing.
