HTC 10 was officially presented by the HTC company about an hour ago, the new smartphone joining a list of premium terminals fighting for the money of consumers around the world, iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge being the main rivals.
HTC 10 appeared in a multitude of rumors in recent weeks, all culminating with today's presentation, but few things could be kept hidden by the HTC company, most of the information that has appeared so far being true.
Technical specifications
According to the HTC company, the technical specifications HTC 10 are the following :
- 5.2 inch LCD screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution;
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip in the USA and other variations in various areas around the world;
- 4 GB RAM;
- 32/64GB storage space with microSD slot that supports cards up to 2 TB;
- the 2 megapixel UltraPixel 12 camera that has a pixel size of 1.55um and f/1.8 aperture, it has optical image stabilizer, automatic laser focus, 4K video recording, 12x slow-motion recording and others;
- 5 megapixel front camera with ultra-wide lens, optical image stabilizer, pixel size 1.34um and f/1.8 aperture;
- two Boomsound speakers with Dolby Audio, subwoofer + tweeter and 3 microphones for canceling ambient noises;
- 3000 mAh battery;
- HTC Sense 8 and Android 6.0 Marshmallow;
- fingerprint reader and USB-C port.
As you can see, we are talking about impressive technical specifications for HTC 10, the Taiwanese company implementing exactly what matters to users, and the performance should be up to par, at least in the US.
The design of the HTC 10 is very similar to the one adopted in the HTC One M9 and other previous versions of HTC's smartphones, but we have known this for months and a bigger change would have been welcome, but those from HTC they will not offer it for now.
HTC 10 it also has a system called Zoe Capture which is similar to the Live Photos offered by the Apple company, so we are talking about the third attempt to offer a similar functionality to the iPhone, those from Samsung having a similar, equally useless system.
Starting
HTC 10 can be pre-ordered starting today at prices starting from 699 dollars in the USA, the terminal being available in silver, black and even gold versions, the first units to be delivered at the beginning of May by those from HTC.
