Apple is preparing major changes for the App Store

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is preparing major changes for the App Store, having a secret team, until recently, in Cupertino that works on improving the user experience of the online store that contains applications for our iPhone, iPad and iPod Touches.

According to some sources within Apple, this team is mainly composed of engineers who worked in the past on iAd, a service canceled by Apple, it being formed recently, so any kind of changes are prepared, it will take some time until will be implemented.

The main complaint of users who use the App Store is the fact that the search system is very poorly thought out and that it is difficult to find applications from new developers or really useful applications, and this team has the role of solving this problem for Apple.

In this idea, the team is considering the implementation of new search systems through the App Storeincluding a method of paying for certain applications to be highlighted in searches in main positions, Google having a similar promotion method for Google Search.

Apple Inc. has constructed a secret team to explore changes to the App Store. Among the ideas being pursued, Apple is considering paid search, a Google-like model in which companies would pay to have their app shown at the top of search results based on what a customer is seeking.

Apart from this system for the discovery of applications, Apple also wants a new interface for the App Store which will make navigation much easier for users, an improvement of the look of the store being necessary considering that now the information is not presented in a very great way.

The Apple team counts over 100 engineers at the moment, so we are talking about an extremely serious effort to improve the App Store, but no one knows how long it will take until the first changes are visible in the store.
