The iPhone SE steals from the sales of Chinese smartphone manufacturers

The iPhone SE steals from the sales of key smartphone manufacturers, or at least that's what an Asian publication gives us, obtaining the information from various local companies that produce a variety of components for manufacturers in China and Taiwan.

The partners of companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi Technology, Vivo or Oppo I argue that all these brands are recording sales declines as a result of the launch iPhone SE since last month, they are reducing orders of components for their own products.

Considering that in 2015 most Chinese smartphone manufacturers only sold up to 80% of what they estimated they would sell, for 2016 the strategies are somewhat more conservative, so orders for new components were also reduced.

Few people saw iPhone SE as a smartphone capable of creating serious competition for Chinese smartphone manufacturers, but Apple managed to find the right price for the terminal to be really attractive for the Asian market.

The launch of relatively low-priced iPhone SE in China has squeezed market share from local brands, including Huawei, Xiaomi Technology, Vivo and Oppo, affecting the earning performance of these brands, said the sources.

We already know that iPhone SE is very hard to find in most Apple Stores- in the world, and the countries that sell the terminal through Apple partners do not have larger stocks, so the terminal seems to have a successful launch, at least from what we know so far.

All estimates so far suggest that iPhone SE it doesn't sell well enough to make up for the decline in iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus sales compared to their predecessors, but even so, the new smartphone could still bring in decent revenue for Apple.
