iPad has the lowest market share in recent years

Sales of tablets iPad have decreased constantly in recent years, and things have reached the level where the product from Cupertino has the lowest market share in recent years, it being similar to the one recorded immediately after the tablet was launched on the market.

Apple announced that it sold 10.3 million tablets worldwide, 2.3 million less than in the same period last year, and its market share fell from 24.3% to 22.1%, the decrease in sales being 19% between the two fiscal quarters.

For Samsung, the problems are even greater because we are talking about a 3% decrease in market share, from a percentage point of view the decrease in sales is 26%, the two companies having the biggest problems among all tablet manufacturers.

First place in the list of tablet sellers is surprisingly the rest of the lesser-known sellers, selling 13.3 million tablets in Q1 2016, 1.4 million less than in Q1 2015, and that's how they managed to overtake Apple.

Apple's iPad sales declined for 9 straight quarters as the average consumer finds little need to pay an Apple premium to upgrade to the latest and greatest models, which is why iOS market share has fallen to 22% this quarter.

Unfortunately for Apple, this is the 9th fiscal quarter in which iPad tablet sales are far below Apple's expectations, but the entire tablet market recorded sales of 5.4 million units lower than in Q1 2015, and Huawei is the only manufacturer which had an increase in sales.
