Apple has hired one of Google X's co-founders

Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), recently hired on Yoki Matsuoka, one of the co-founders Google X and manager of Nest, she joining the Apple teams that develop products dedicated to monitoring users' health, i.e. platforms such as researchKit, HealthKit or CarKit.

Yoki Matsuoka joined Google X in 2009, but in 2010 he left the subsidiary to join Nest, one of the co-founders of this company being his college colleague at Carnegie Mellon, so entering the new team is easily explained.

Leaving Nest in 2015, Yoky Matsuoka would have intended to join the Twitter company, but she was diagnosed with a disease that put her life in danger and after undergoing appropriate treatment, she was probably easily persuaded by Apple to join the team that develops technologies for health monitoring.

Yoky Matsuoka did her doctorate at MIT and contributed to the development of a robotic hand called BatterHand, she has a special interest in the development of robots and systems with integrated artificial intelligence, and within Apple she could also contribute to such efforts.

Apple has hired famed robotics expert Yoky Matsuoka, one of the co-founders of Google's X lab and former head of technology at Nest, to work on the iPhone maker's health projects. Apple said Matsuoka is working for chief operating officer Jeff Williams, who oversees the tech giant's growing number of health initiatives.

With a person who has such a great affinity for developing health monitoring systems or artificial intelligence systems, the Apple company could have the key elements to launch truly revolutionary products in the coming years.
