4 reasons why you should use 4G call on iPhone

Since the weekend, Orange has launched 4G call on iPhone in Romania and I already told you which iPhones are compatible with 4G calling, so you know if you can benefit from this system on your terminals, since the activation cannot be done anyway on other devices incompatible with it.

What we have not discussed yet are the benefits that the 4G call function has for owners of iPhone terminals, and this article aims to inform you about what you will receive after you activate this system on the terminals used in the Orange operator's network .

Improved audio quality

One of the main benefits of using the 4G call function on the iPhone is the better quality of phone calls made through the 4G network, the codecs used for sound playback being clearly superior to those used in GSM Edge or 3G connections.

In order to have a very good audio quality, it is necessary that both phones of the interlocutors are capable of making 4G calls, the existence of microphones for canceling ambient noises being a plus that additionally improves the quality of the conversation.

Unfortunately, 4G calls made with terminals that are not compatible with this technology and do not have microphones to cancel ambient noises, will not be of exceptional quality.

Faster call initiation

No matter what type of phone you call, using 4G calls you will benefit from an almost instant initiation of calls, even before you put the terminal to your ear, in certain cases, avoiding the rollback from 4G to 3G being one of the benefits that offers an increase in speed.

Many iPhone users have complained over time that phone calls are difficult to initiate in Romania and other countries around the world, and the use of VoLTE technology for 4G calls significantly improves the initiation time of a phone call.

Ability to make Wi-Fi calls

Activating the 4G call function is a precursor to using the one for Wi-Fi calls, so that through the latter you can benefit from the possibility of making phone calls even in areas where there is no very good GSM coverage, normally.

Of course, in Romania for now there is no support for the Wi-Fi calling function, but I assume that separately from Orange, those from Telekom or Vodafone are working on the implementation of support for this system and that it should be available quite soon.

Improving battery autonomy

Using the 4G call function in areas with good 4G coverage can also have the effect of improving battery life through the lens of the technology used, but also through the lens of the fact that your terminal does not constantly switch from 3G to 4G and vice versa for calls.

Most mobile phone operators present this aspect as one of the main reasons for using the 4G call function on smartphones, and the benefits have been reported by many users.

Having said that, if you have a smartphone compatible with the 4G call function and you have 4G coverage in the areas where you travel often, there are no better reasons than these to use the technology in your everyday life.
