Apple is working hard to bring Apple Pay to Europe

Apple launched Apple Pay in 2014 in the USA and its expansion in other areas of the planet proved to be much more difficult than the Americans imagined, few countries currently have an active mobile payment system using the iPhone terminals of the Americans.

In a discussion with Jennifer Bailey, one of the vice presidents who deals with the development of Apple Pay, an American publication learned that Apple is seriously focusing on expanding the availability of its service in new countries in Europe and Asia.

The other day I told you that Apple Pay has been launched in Singapore by the Apple company and that France, Germany, Japan and several other important countries on the planet are in the sights of the Apple company to launch its mobile payment service using the iPhone.

In the discussion with Jennifer Bailey, the American publication found out that among the factors considered by Apple for the launch of Apple Pay in a certain country are the size of the country, the degree of use of cards or mobile payments, but also sales of iPhone terminals.

[But] when we bring Apple Pay to market even when contactless is low it will grow — it was 4 percent in the US but is now 20 percent. We also work with our network partners, where we can use integration with Amex and Visa, to go to market quickly.

Although few Americans were making mobile payments in the US before Apple Pay was launched, the service of those from Cupertino contributed to the growth of this type of payments, the Apple company even thinking of implementing reward services for those who use Apple Pay.

Although it is not yet known in which cities Apple Pay will be launched, Jennifer Bailey claims that the launch of this system depends very much on the existence of a large number of iPhones compatible with the system, so Romania will not have it soon.
